Who is staying sober for New Years Eve?

Question by Wooderson: Who is staying sober for New Years Eve?
I am not going to drink on New Years Eve. All I want is a relaxing dinner (maybe takeout sushi) and a few rolls in the hay – maybe a good O at the stroke of midnight to ring in the new year.

Drunken new years eves have, to my recollection, typically been just a disappointment. Maybe it’s because I don’t like to drink anymore. I don’t even feel that good while drinking, let alone the next day. So, why do it?

I drink MAYBE a glass or two of wine twice a year – drunks disgust me to no end and I do everything in my power to eliminate having to be around ANYONE who cannot control themselves. HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR!!

I’ll be staying sober this year and will have a nice dinner too. I believe you gave a little too much information what you want to happen on New Years Eve.

The last New Years Eve that I was able to even stay awake long enough to see the ball drop was the millennium New Year. And that’s only because I forced myself to stay awake to see it. It was like torture.
    lol.
I’ll probably be in bed and asleep by 10:30.

It`s individual how it makes or doesnt make evening better. I myself am going to drink several glasses of sparkling wine as I always have taken at every family relative party. Without alcohol i would just sit quiet and tell no stories or jokes. People would leave 2-4 hours earlier tired with boredom, and so on as it was when I was minor and did not drink and pursue my fate. It is my destiny to be a “firestarter of the conversations” and everyone expects it as usual.

Going to a house party. I will not be partaking in the beverages, due to be being pregnant mostly, but I haven’t drank in years anyway. I really don’t see a purpose in it. I go with Cranberry Juice and OJ – and I’m good to go. :) Happy New Year’s!
