Question by : What would happen if someone was unknowingly injected with heroin?
If you injected someone with heroin while they were sleeping. How would their body react to withdrawal and such?

They would get high and then come down. There would be mo withdrawal. That only happens to repeat users who become addicted.

    For a start I would never do that.

    They might die due to overdose due to not being accustomed.
    or
    They will feel the effects then come down.

    One dose is not enough to create a dependency.

    They could stop breathing and die, and could also experience the other side effects of heroin intoxication, like nausea and vomiting (and while obtunded, they could regurgitate, breathe the vomit into their lungs and die), urinary retention, decreased level of consciousness (the sleeping person would be harder to wake up).

    They would not have withdrawal because one dose does not make one physically dependent on the drug.
