My treatment wants me to try naltrexone for gambling compulsion. Does anyone know anything about this?

This effectively blocks the receptor, preventing the body from responding to opiates and endorphins.

See: NALTREXONE TREATMENT FOR DRUGS, in section 52, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris and read the whole section. It is used for alcohol, as well as for other, unrelated medical problems. Check out medications at: http://www.drugs.com/ & http://www.iguard.org/ & http://www.rxlist.com/ & http://crazymeds.us/ & http://www.askapatient.com/
