Marianas Trench – Lover Dearest

At a concert, Josh was telling us about is addiction to heroin when he was 15, 16 and 17.He told us that in rehab, he wrote this as a letter to his drug. I was touched by his speech and the song, and i decided to make a video to it. I can only hope that someone will see this, and remember this when they are offered drugs. Or someone with an addiction already will reach out for help. If you do have an addiction or an eating disorder, tell someone you trust even if its only one person. Its so much stronger if you keep it to yourself.

when i watch that it actually makes me cry. very inspiraring mesage, i think that Josh Ramsay knows that what he did was wrong and that he is glad that he stoped drugs and recoverd from bulimia, even though his past was bad i still love him to death<3333

This song is truly inspiring. I have never been addicted to anything, but I want myself to remember one thing if anyone offers me drugs.
I’m not talkimg about the song. But all those people who are fighting an addiction right now, and who have fought it, if they succeeded or not.
I want to show that I care. Not by becoming an addict and feel their pain, but by giving them hope and show that they can always say no. Even if it is yourself that offers it to you, or someone else.

I hope that people find the time and the love in their hearts to look at this video, the comments, feel the torture.I don’t anticipate doing drugs ever, but the first time i realized what this song was about,i froze and began to cry.I never want to feel those emotions, but sometimes i torture myself by just thinking what he and many others feel and felt.God bless all of you who found the strength to quit, and for those who have sunken to the bottom, may you find josh’s arm and let it pull you out.

This song… helped me so much. Gosh, you can change your life, it seems hard but if go on fighting against it… someday you will make it. And then you’ll be proud. Because you’re stronger than the drug/alcohol/food/person… whatever keeps you down, go on breathing, go on fighting and don’t look back.

Thank you so much for this video. What I’m about to tell you is 100% true. Watching this video 2 years ago is what made me think about my eating disorder before it got any worse, and then hearing about Josh’s addictions last summer pulled me out completely. You have saved my life..Thank you so much! I LOVE YOU! Haha :) I still have my hard days, but they’re nothing like before. God bless :)

This song is absoloutley incredible. My friend is into drugs and when I showed him this video, I looked at him, and e both had tears streaming down our faces. He’s quitting because he realized how much it’s hurting everyone around him.
It’s also helping me get over my eating disorder. It’s been 3 years and I still have rough patches. This song is my rock.
    Thank you Marianas Trench <3

I can relate to this song so much! I’ve never had a drug & alchohol problem or an eating disorder, but some people at my school bully me for no reason. So when I go home, I get my razor out and cut myself to make the pain go away. Sure people call me a whore or a bitch, but it’s something that is hard to get over. I just wish I had someone to talk to who really knew how I felt. :(

@lindz1414 I totally agree! An amazing video!! Thank you for doing this. This song may be about addiction but I was able to relate it to certain life experiences also. It’s a great song and I think Josh is an amazing musician.

See, I just recently kicked a heroin addiction (well, about a year ago). And then, shit in my life went down hill. I got expelled even though I was doing good in school, I got fired because of something I couldn’t control, I just lost 4 of my closest friends to suicide and a car crash, and I was also in a car crash.
My best friend pulled me out if the rut I was in because I went back to drugs, and he got me back into a school, and now I listen to this song right before I go to bed and as soon

This video means so much!!! It brings tear to my eyes everytime I watch it! Expecially when they get to the part about eating disorders … I’m 15 and I have suffered from eating disorders where I go days without hardly any food cuz when I look in the miror I don’t see me… Just like the girl in the video!! So this video has helped me get over that addiction…. Thanx!

This song has always touched me . I couldn’t even finish the video. I’m reading all the comments and tears are coming to my eyes. I’m 15, I don’t have an addiction or eating disorder , but Im so touched by this song. To anyone who does have either of those, I have much more respect now. Realizing how hard it is to go throught.

    Thanks for posting this
