Is there an alcohol rehab that doesn’t cost any money?

I have a friend in Colorado that has not got a job. He has a bad alcohol problem, but no money to goo to rehab. Plain old 12 step meetings are not enough, he needs more help than that. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Do you have an extra room in your house? You could always lock him for a month till he gets it out of his system.

The fact that your friend wants/seeks help is excellent. I believe that there are several in the CO area, but they are very hard to find. You can go to addictionnomore.com and fill out a survey and I believe that they usually respond w/in 24 hours, or you can go to choosehelp.com as well. One specific place is located in Commerce City called Stout Street, which isn’t exactly the Ritz, but overall, the success rate is outstanding. The rehab is free or based on a sliding scale- he will need to show pay stubs or lack there of, etc. Good luck with your friend, he’s lucky to have someone on his side!!

It is not a rehab, but an alternative to 12 step.

Not that I know, but I know a great informational website that you can call that can help guide in the right direction. They’ll definitely have some free help for you. Check out the link in the source. I hope your friend gets the help that he needs.
