Ice Age – Crystal Meth Addicts

Its cheap, highly addictive and ultra-powerful. "Ice", or crystal methamphetamine, is now more popular than heroin. It plays havoc with the minds and the bodies of addicts, filling emergency wards with dangerous, psychotic patients. But little is known about the long term effects of the drug or even how to treat the addiction. And health services are not prepared for the chaos ice has just started to unleash. This weeks documentary reports on the hidden epidemic.

    So I have a question: does ANYONE believe there to be a “Meth” culture (much like many jazz musicians perceived a “heroin culture” in the 40s or in the manner hippies advocated pot and LSD – even how club kids in the 80s saw cocaine)? I have heard nothing to the defense of it. Just wondering.

    With all do respect, you are not very smart. So you want the government to stop selling cold medicine? That is what is needed to make the stuff. Pseudoephedrine or Ephedrine. The stuff that clears your sinuses so you can breath when you get a cold or allergies. You haven’t noticed that Sudafed also makes you jittery. Ding, Ding. Yes governments are regulating the sell of these medications. They do have different drugs that do the same. The problem is that sudafed is not shedule 1.

    ok people. meth does not cause tooth decay–directly. It does cause your brain to produce dopamine which causes you to crave sweets. many meth heads eat a lot of sugary foods — most do not brush their teeth for days and guess what? Good old fashion tooth decay. It is very simple when you think about it. No dental hygiene = rotten mouth.

    Only if you fire the bullet. But you are right but for the wrong reason. That is the only cure because the brain produces the chemicals that make people high. If the brain is dead it can’t make you high. Cured. However, that means that you would have to shoot everyone. Because we get addicted to more than drugs. We get addicted to situations. I.E. you ever here someone say “Why does this always happen to me?” Because you are addicted to what happened. Please Watch “What the Bleep do we know”

    Drug abusers need prayer. Ive been clean from all for 17 years, only thanks to God, not only did He save my soul, He also “delivered me from addictions. I dont need AA or NA to stay clean and sober.Some do, so aslong as your clean, that counts.

    i was addicted to crystal for over 8 years…it is possible to quit if you really want to…ive been clean for over 5 years now..and didnt go threw any program or jail

    Yeah…I think I’m just gonna stick to weed and LSD. Its more fun short term and doesn’t have any long term effects, I’d much more prefer to smoke weed now and later when my life has some structure to it, I’ll smoke it again for recration purposes.
