How to tell my bf that?

Question by : How to tell my bf that?
How to tell my bf; who hasn’t proposed to me formally yet, that my parents will never accept his proposal , neither can I, because of his Alcoholism.

We have been dating for a very short time, but where I live most people date to marry , though not said out loud most of the time.

I want to tell him that I think we may have no future together, because of his drinking habits.I want to offer him to stay by his side as a friend if he wants to seek help for it.This is the best I can do actually. If he sobers up for few years, and I am still single we may get married then.

I told him we need to talk.He thought I wanted us to get serious quickly .He just hinted that it is too early , and kind of ignored me.HE doesn’t see the problem..Shall I dump him because he is too arrogant, just assuming I am ok with everything he has to offer, and at his own timing too.
He didn’t ask to marry me.How can I tell him you can’t be my husband!!

Yes, I think you should. If you see no future with this guy, stop wasting your time and find someone who’s worthwhile.

Stop dating him if there is no future with him. Why waste any more time with someone you think has a drinking problem, especially when they don’t agree. Forget the friendship; you cannot help somebody that does not want to be helped.
