Free needles equals huge risk to public in Vancouver BC,

Stevedigiboy MEDIABUSTER NEWS CLIP: We don’t even give diabetics free needles on the scale of this hand out… Who won the contract to sell the exchanges 4 million needles in one year!!! .50, $1.20/e? employing a lot of non-users. Harm reduction drug facilitation it’s all about $$$$$$$$$$$ not many crackheads and heroin addicts drive mercedes. Do medical supply companies and high paid administrators clean up alleys? or pay people minimum wage to do it? It’s a load of crap people cannot kick the habit! seen it done with no government assistance that’s for sure. It’s not the users getting rich but there are too many “professionals” servicing this huge addicted population and they have their own industry based on perpetuated suffering, $ is the other heroin of society. What about insurance claims based on the rampant theft? more industry work on the back of the public, police & drug users and courts that have no intrest in forced treatment ie incarceration and more clean prisons. I find it really disturbing that since my city has been handing out free needles to heroin addicts that the transfer of disease from one addict to another has decreased but I have to prevent children and old adults from sticking themselves with possibly infected needles. Why and who wants herion and crack use tolerated? and how is a parent to know their kid has not been stuck by a discarded needle and may be sick? I have told the exchange truck/van to not park across from public schools even

Maybe but not near the public schools here man, where are the needle sweeepers or control over waste? 1 child gets stuck vs the users go cold turkey with medical help there should be no choice to make.

Actually they are called needle exchange programs (NEP’s) for a very specific reason. Put quite simply, folks that are “exchanging” their used needles for new ones don’t leave hazardous waste lying around but instead bring the number of refuse down dramatically. I have many peer-reviewed papers (based on longitudinal studies) that state the same if you want them. NEP’s are also first points of contact for many other services that can lead to positive changes in peoples lives! HR works great!!!

I haven’t been to Vancouver in years, but from the video footage pointing to that sea of needles, it doesn’t look like the drug exchange is working – what ever happened to giving food to those in need? no one has to worry about pricking themselves in an alley from an infected chicken bone

If they had to pay for the needle like many pharmacies make you London Drugs, Shoppers etc then the deal is bring it back get half off youre next needle. I dont like so called safe sites that hand em out. Only to have them thrown on the ground after its grose and dangorous they should all be banned. Junkies should have to go to the store and buy them.

I disagree. It’s WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY fucking better to give drug addicts CLEAN needles than to let them keep using dirty needles, you stupid idiots.

They unpurposely provide mass-needles to population in alot of countrys that belong to the Freemason society. There plan is to depopulate people through desease, Infections . Airborne and physical transfered viruses… Also by using Biological warfare, Lowering are immune systems with Chemical Trails (Waste that forms into artifical clouds)
They are only just beginning, This is nothing. Catostrophic events start soon witch will play a large role in depopulation. Hope this helped.

    Hani.

i say we ship all drug addicts (cocaine, crack, meth, heroin, opium) to an island in alaska. there are tons of them we make the drugs on another island nearby and ship the drugs to the island of fiends with some needles and spoons for everyong to shoot up. some say its inhumane, i say its one of the most humane answers. drug test everyone in north america.

Or maybe the bumbs (sorry, mentally challenged homeless folks who are on the street by no fault of their own) should start taking responsibility for themselves.

I would support a safe-injection site if it was 10,000 miles from the city I love and all the crack heads were sent there.

LOL! no picker upper in alley here dude, and no hypothesis I’ve stopped kids playing with needles. Maybe you should buy stock in needle companies and then open a safe injection site in your basement. The United Way and Union Gospel should sell some of their million dollar properties and help the poor with rent etc?

Are you THIS fucking dumb? Way to hypothesis about a situation. Plus, the United way goes around to pick up the needles. Also; don’t like needles? Support SAFE injection.

i as an ex herion addict believe every where should do needle exchanges.you go into a drug store and they dont sell you clean needles do you really think a drug addict is gonna just not do the drugs.they will just not clean.if every where would exchange clean needles there would be less hep c in the world 9 out of 10 herion addicts or ex addicts i know have hep c.if not worse things.

I know 2 people who kicked after a lot of pain, 10+ lost that had it easy with sympathetic support from the system. I know and have seen how needles get stashed under firewood, gardens, ledges, fences etc. exactly where kids dig for things or others try and make their yard better.

most addicts grow up being severly abused and anyone that has ever supposed to be there for them have not. It’s a small way to “lure” them back in. Again you deserve alot of respect and I’m really sorry that you are dealing with this.

your situation sucks! I feel for you and really respect you for the way you are dealing with this. The police should really be patroling that area more frequently and at night. Also the needle exchange should be made aware of of this specific area. Free needle exchange not only helps stop the spread of diseases, in alot of cases it is the only link an addict has to society. It shows them that it may be ok to accept help and that noone is out to hurt them.
