On January 8, Vicky Whittemore, Ph.D., of Crofton, MD, travelled to Washington, DC, to testify before a US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory committee hearing regarding the approval of Sabril® (vigabatrin) for the treatment of Infantile Spasms (IS). Vicky, her new nephew and her son all have tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), a rare genetic disease. Many people with TSC suffer from IS and other forms of epilepsy.
