suicidalemming says:
well what the hell why do they legalize alcohol but no other drugs?surely alcohol is harmful for your body. I know after a hard night of drinking i feel like shit the next day.
isnt it a bit hypocritical for them to say hey you can drink your face off but you cant go and smoke a joint, or shoot up
Either they leaglize everything, or they make every drug harmful to your body (including cafine, tobacco and alcohol) illegal. No beating around the bush. its ridiculous they have to make up their mind
p00lman says:
I think we only need to look at Americans’ general misuse and abuse of alcohol to see that giving them free reign of drugs would not lead to stellar results.
suicidalemming says:
oh and for the record i dont shoot up or anything. I think its disgusting but i just feel like people should have their own choice. Like tobacco and alcohol. Both harmful but we adults make our own decision on weather to use them or not. Whats different from that versus cocaine, marijuana or heroin?
Making it illegal wont change shit. it just puts money in the hands of criminals and terrorists such as the afghans who are using opium production to fund their war against USA.
suicidalemming says:
i am an adult. i pay my taxes and live my life the way i want to. I do not want the government telling me what i can and cant put in my own body. Its ridiculous in the 1930s heroin was used as medicine on people for christ sake. So yes legalize heroin , and all the other hard drugs, because there is no way you can eliminate them. its impossible they have been trying for so many years and the drug trade has INCREASED. Just like prohibition in the 20s and 30s the drug war wont last.
suicidalemming says:
Come on man… is that all you can come up with? First off i said make them leagal and control them. Of course no children should be allowed to do them, just like alcohol and smoking. They are both drugs and we dont allow children to do them. Yes legalize heroin. Why cant a fully mature adult shoot up? i thought we live in a free country. They are adults they make decisions in their life. We should not have the government wagging their fingers and telling us no no no you cant do that.
p00lman says:
You’re right. We should make heroin legal so that teenagers can shoot up after school.
suicidalemming says:
global drug trade in 2003 was approximately 321 billion us dollars. And none of this was taxed! could you imagine if the united states government could control this and tax the shit out of it? im sure we would be out of this global recession very fast. Also by legalizing many drugs, you remove the mysterious, forbidden fruit aspect of the drugs.
I was born in Amsterdam and most people there do not smoke pot. Its old news, they do not view it as taboo and most young kids do not try to find it.
suicidalemming says:
do you realize that by funding the war on drugs and keeping these drugs illegal we are creating drug cartels. The drug market is the second largest market in the world. next to military arms. The second largest market is controlled by a bunch of thugs and criminals that do not pay taxes, yet still use our roads and infrastructure when ever they please. This is wrong. WE need to legalize and control this market before it goes out of hand.
The US government could make huge profits by doing this..
Pv8man says:
The gangs are not around BECAUSE of Marijuana.
they are around because it is ILLEGAL.
Now go ahead “p00lman” and say something irrelevant back at me, like
“yeah but prohibition was different, because it was alcohol and alcohol is legal”
Pv8man says:
Who ever said anything about cops “p00lman”?
You keep trying to twist my words around to try to invalidate my point.
PROHIBITION = DRUG CARTELS BLACK MARKET
PERIOD !
no matter what you say your not fooling anyone.
p00lman says:
Half of the nation smokes pot or wants to smoke pot? Spoken like a true pothead.
If you can manager to sober up for a moment, show me those statistics.
Pv8man says:
Minority?
I guess half of the nation is a minority according to you.
You are part of a dying philosophy ….
the belief that only the government can save you from yourself…
but get over it… you lost…
You go drink your alcohol and smoke your cigarettes…
and I’ll go smoke my weed, and leave me the fuck alone
end of discussion
p00lman says:
An obnoxious vocal minority does not a controversy make.
Keep whining, but until you can convince anyone that your motives are anything but selfish, nothing will change.
Pv8man says:
You heard it right…..
“p00lman” thinks it’s a good idea for us to keep spending over 20 billion dollars of our tax money a year solely to arrest and prosecute people for possession of pot.
He also never wants us to grow HEMP for paper and ethanol to create jobs.
You can all thank people like “p00lman” for all the drug cartels.
Those drug cartels sure do love prohibition, it’s great for their profits.
Pv8man says:
you STILL make no sense what so ever.
So no matter what you say or type….
it makes no difference what your personal opinion is.
We are going to have an America without prohibition of pot, weather you like it or not “p00lman”
Pv8man says:
really? no one wanted then legalized?
so you speak for everybody that ever existed in America for 70 years?
Further more, your saying that weed should not be legal because it’s been illegal for 70 years???
That’s the whole fucking point of all of this controversy.
p00lman says:
Weird, so drugs have been illegal for more than 70 years and no one bothered to legalize them again.
Looks like your prohibition argument just turned to shit.
p00lman says:
Oh, drug dealers are just like cops. Well, that makes perfect sense. You really convinced me, uneducated internet person.
Pv8man says:
you know….
the type of religious nuts like YOU trying to impede on everybody else’s right to smoke pot without going to prison.
because you think that you know what’s best for everyone else don’t you?
You think the government can save people from themselves??? hahaha
laughable….truly laughable
Pv8man says:
prohibition was not SUDDEN…
it’s been chanted over and over again by all the religious nuts for over a decade before it happened.
the last time drug use was legal was in the 1930′s, right before the feds came in and prevented farmers from growing HEMP as a cash crop for necessities.
Pv8man says:
ohh, ok good response there “p00lman”
drug dealers shoot each other all the time, as well as innocent people.
So do cops, like the cop that raided a college kids home and shot him all over pot.
Yeah, your not winning this debate “p00lman” you make about as much sense as a bag of bricks.
p00lman says:
Considering that many drug dealers are shooting each other, I think the cops are on the right track.
Pv8man says:
yep ok “p00lman”
I guess your right….
I guess it is a good idea for us to keep spending over 20 billion dollars of our tax money a year solely to arrest and prosecute people for possession of pot.
yeah, real smart jackass.
When instead we can’t even grow HEMP for paper and ethanol. and create jobs like the 30s
(I don’t like the ethanol idea but if that’s what were going to use, better we use hemp then our food (corn) hemp grows much faster and can be harvested up to 3 times a year.)
p00lman says:
Sorry, but logic is here to tell you your analogy is hilarious.
Alcohol prohibition was a sudden and drastic change, and it was quickly reversed.
When’s the last time drug use has been legal in the US? The only people who still care about it are a few dying hippies.
Pv8man says:
heh, ok
You can count on me not getting arrested.
I’m pretty sure that the people of America are going to just wake up like they did during prohibition of alcohol.
thus, making your logic obsolete, and a thing of the past.
