    Most doctors don’t understand the half-life or the difference of metabolism in patients. There has been such a dramatic increase in methdone deaths, that the government is being forced to make stricter regulations. I, personally, am one of those that are in favor of stricter regulations for clinics and doctors. My son died on Day 5 from methadone toxicity administered by a licensed clinic even though he showed adverse effects to the drug. Drs and clinics don’t know everything.

    Before going on methadone for pain management, it is wise to get an EKG first. If all is well, then methadone therapy should be discussed with the physician. The analgesic effect of methadone is more pronounced if the dose is divided instead of taken all at once such as at the methadone maintainance program. Do not mix CNS depressants such as antihistamines (phenergan) with methadone. People have died from an accidental overdose where a mixture of clonazepam and methadone were involved.

    WELL I TAKE METHADONE , I GO ON MONDAY AND TAKE MY DOSE INFRONT OF MY PHARMACIST THEN I TAKE 2 WITH ME , THEN I GO ABCK ON THRUSDAY AND DRINK MY DOSE INFRONT OF THEM THEN TAKE 3 WIT ME , .I want to work on teh scollop boats and we go away for 15 days so i wanted to take it with me which is ok by the company of course cause its prescribed to me, but my asshoel doctor said eh couldnt do it , he said he would do it once but it is to ween me off of it, i dont knwow hat to do

    Methadone is far more a “Life Saver” than a killer. Of course it would be better if no one was addictied to heroin or other opiates. No Sh#t! These fools are so worried about Methadone they’d probably rather have people shooting H so the Docs would be off the hook. It’s all relative folks!
